Google's Easter Eggs and Some Tricks

I was feeling a bit down today since I kind of raped the replay button of Priscilla Ahn’s Dream. I know it’s not that sad but the tune REALLY makes me so pathetic. :| So anyway, before I embarrass myself further, I decided to search form some google tricks. 

But first, you should go to Google’s homepage and disable your Google Instant. Google Instant helps “you search and browse faster on the web by showing search results and web pages in the browser window as you type in the address bar, even before you press Enter.” Click the gear icon on the upper right hand of your homepage and click Search Settings. Click the “Do not use Google Instant” choice to disable it then hit “Save Preferences.” OR just simply click here.

These tricks are called Google Easter Eggs. Some of the tricks were made by Google team themselves but some are just mirror sites that have been search often that they have climbed up to the top of the search results. Clicking the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button on Google’s homepage will automatically display the top most result, thus the thought of trick.

Try some of these Easter Eggs:

1. First, go to Google’s homepage.
2. Type the keyword that you can see below
3. Hit "I’m Feeling Lucky"

How to change default search country

 If you want this trick that'll show a ninja if you press certain keys, go to your Google reader and use keyboard and click them up as follows: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a.

There's also this annoying thing that Google does. When I type Google.com, it'll automatically redirect me to www.google.com.PH as I reside in the Philippines or if you're in Canada = www.google.com.ca and so on; basically redirecting you to you're current country location. And it makes me so annoyed especially when I really wanted to see their doodles for the day (that are sometimes available to their Google US page or their Google generic homepage). Good news is, I found a solution for them to not redirect me to any country. All you have to do is add /ncr which means "no country redirect" at the end of you're address bar (Example: www.google.com/ncr). In time, Google will remember it and you don't have to put the /ncr every time you go to their homepage.
