Meraki Gastro Hub - Kapalong Davao del Norte

So lately, I've been craving food from this restaurant in our hometown that have since closed down. Don't really know where they are but what I love about their place is their bibimbap. For a very decent price, you get to enjoy this delicious bibimbap (also because Iya and I love to model in their rustic place). I remember when Ms. Lani (one of my colleagues in the office) offered me that her friend is accepting orders for a bibimbap meal. Thinking about Meraki, I ordered right away but was a disappointed because you get less at a higher price (in comparison with Meraki).

After they closed down, they transferred to Tagum City to venture into another restaurant - name's Gualberto's Place (if I remember it right) but has also closed down. No idea why. Anyway, the place has a difference ambience than Meraki. I tried eating their Beef (something) but was deeply sad when all I tasted was a salt-drenched-beef. I told one of their service crew and was responded with: "Ana jud ang lasa sa Beef ma'am." (That's how it really tastes). Don't get me wrong. I LOVE their food. BUT not all of them. And in my time, I've tasted a LOT of that dish and it does not, in any way, taste THAT salty. In the end, my friend had to throw it away.

A brief story: We were so excited to try Meraki for the first time that from Tagum, we went directly to their place at around 7PM. Looked them up on Instagram, found a linked pin in Google Maps, followed it, and eventually ended up in the middle of nowhere after driving for about 45 minutes. Turns out, their link was broken or something. Found their exact place afterwards but just arrived as they were closing down for the day. What an experience!

Their food isn't grand but it's the closest restaurant you'll ever going to get in our hometown. I wish them back in our hometown though. It was such a good place to unwind.
